The display of laptop is very
needed to interact and to control your computer. If it is not
operating properly, you will not be able to use it. It is just
like a computer and so like computer it can also have software
and hardware problems which can affect the laptop display.
Before taking decision to carry the laptop for repairing, it
is better to check the display. First examine the power cord
and laptop’s battery. If there is no power, the display will
not function. This will happen when the power cord is
unplugged. So you have to make sure that your laptop has power
on batteries and power cord is plugged.
Most of the laptop will turn off
if the battery is used after a long period of non use. Just
make a touch on any key will turn the display if the battery
still has power. Again restart your laptop, If any program is
malfunctioning or stuck, it may result in display not
functioning. You should press and hold the power button to
restart your laptop. It is due to malfunctioning, and then the
display will turn on after you restart your laptop. It is also
good to test the level of brightness of your laptop if you are
not getting display on your laptop. The control key for
brightness is seen in the key F9 and F10. You can press these
two keys to raise the level of brightness in your laptop. You
can also try Fn key by pressing the UP Arrow key to raise the
brightness level. When you are having problem that your laptop
display is not functioning, you should examine the display
closed switch.
Most of the laptops contains
little button which senses if the LCD screen is closed and
makes the laptop in the hibernation or sleep mode. If your
laptop switch is clogged with any dust or dirt, there is lot
of possibilities to get stuck in that closed condition. It
will lead to have dark display when the lid is open. You can
see the switch close to the hinges of the lid. You can use
some spray of compressed air to clear the dust or dirt. Your
laptop will come in to normal position after performing this.
It is also good to check and clean your laptop and its switch
frequently to prevent this display problem. it also helps to
have a neat and cleaned laptop to use. Plug the exterior side
monitor to the laptop.
When the issue is not concerned
with any software problem, then the outside monitor will
automatically display the screen of the laptop. By connecting
the monitor in to the HDMI, VGA or DVI port on the laptop
through plugging, you should press and keep your finger on the
FN key and by press F8 key also. The video result will be
given to the outside monitor if your laptop has a hardware
problem. Check your laptop display by all these directions,
